 Dr. Flonzie Brown Wright
        Flonzie Brown Wright is the First African American female elected official in Mississippi. She is a civil rights activist, best selling author, humanitarian, philanthropist, and a servant. In November of 2024, a Mississippi Freedom Trail marker was unveiled in her honor at the Madison County Courthouse. Her position of Election Commissioner allowed her to correct many voting injustices throughout the state as she fought to serve the citizens of Madison County.
