  SUSTAINER OF
THE YEAR
ROBIN SHARP BROWNING
The Amalie Fair Robinson Sustainer of the Year Award is named in honor of the first President of the Junior League of Jackson, recognizing the service
of a Sustaining member who has visibly made a difference in the community through her leadership and voluntarism.
Robin served in many roles as an Active member and continues to give back to the League as a Sustaining Advisor and an enthusiastic member of Joyful Noise since 2011. She is described by one member as “so dependable...the kind of volunteer who makes everyone around her feel good...such a gift...her spirit and character shine with joy.” Another member states that "Born to serve” should have been her middle name."
Additionally, she has been a member of the Jackson Symphony League and served as its president and held other offices. Robin is a faithful member of Northminster Baptist Church where she has served as a Sunday School teacher and is currently on the Communion Committee.
Robin in grew up in Laurel, Mississippi and was actively involved in her church and community. She has visibly made a difference in our community through her voluntarism and leadership with Goodwill Industries Volunteer Services by serving as a past president and holding other offices. It was no surprise to anyone when she was selected as a Goodwill Salute Honoree.
Thank you, Robin, for your example of someone who truly lives to serve others with humility, warmth and dedication not only to the Junior League of Jackson, but to our community at large!
  HOLMES ADAMS
Holmes Adams represented the Junior League of Jackson for more than two decades as General Counsel. As he retires, he leaves behind many contributions and fond memories made throughout his tenure. His wife, Gayle Adams served as President of JLJ from 1988-1989, and his daughter, Gene Adams Wright, served two years on the Board of directors. Some contributions include but are not limited
to his appreciation of the League's mission, the implementation of the Jackson Public Schools Mini-Grants program, and contentment for the overall collective business process of executing programs in the League. We are grateful for Holmes' sincere advisement, dependable counsel, invaluable wisdom, and true love for the Jackson community.
