 C. EDDM a.k.a “Every Door Direct Mail”:
Reach mailboxes in any zipcode choosing selected routes or every route
 What is an EDDM?
USPS Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM)
Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM) is a service offered by the United States Postal Service that allows you to send marketing mail to every address in a chosen area —without needing a mailing list or individual names and addresses. Instead, you select specific postal routes, and your mailpiece is delivered to every residential and/ or business mailbox on that route.
Why it’s cheaper:
EDDM is more cost-effective than traditional direct mail because it’s streamlined for the USPS. There’s no need for address labeling, sorting, or data handling, which reduces processing time and cost. As a result, postage rates are significantly lower than standard marketing mail rates.
Size Requirements:
To qualify for EDDM rates, your mailpiece must be considered a “flat” and meet specific size guidelines. Most importantly, it must be larger than 6.25” x 9”—but not exceed 12” x 15”. This oversized format helps ensure your piece stands out in the mailbox while still qualify- ing for the discounted rate.
EDDM is the cost-effective way to blanket neighborhoods with your message without the expense of purchasing
or managing a mailing list!
