 Fund Development
THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR SPONSORS AND DONORS OF OUR 2020-2021 FUND DEVELOPMENT BUSINESSES.
November began the most WONDERful time of the year at the 40th annual Mistletoe Marketplace. Not only did our steering committee adapt to the world of COVID-19, but they celebrated the forty-year legacy of this wonderful event. Not to mention, for the first time, the NEW Mississippi Trademart was transformed into a Winter Wonderland full of holiday spirit! With in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, Mistletoe Marketplace offered the opportunity to experience the wonder and to support the Junior League of Jackson’s Mission.
Like everything else this league year, our Junior League Jumble presented an opportunity for innovation and creativity. Our steering committee transformed this event into a virtual event in less than a month. The silent and premier online auctions offered high-quality, one-of-a-kind items to our shoppers, and our first-ever Little Black Mask Event provided the opportunity to raise even more funds while supporting our Mission. Community partners were brought in early to safely shop the thousands of items donated by our members.
Instead of rolling into Trustmark Park in late March, Touch A Truck® Jackson rolled into homes and classrooms around the state. One of the goals of this year’s team was to take the event statewide and they accomplished that goal by charing content from corporate sponsors and exhibitors through our virtual event. As children tuned in, they were able to have a hands-on experience with our one-of-a-kind STEM Kits. They created balloon rockets, a rain cloud, a jellybean tower, and learned about erosion and tension in road making materials.
