Cheers to Mistletoe Marketplace celebrating its 40th anniversary and starting the next chapter of this spectacular holiday event in the new Mississippi Trade Mart!
Mistletoe Marketplace transformed the Mississippi Trade Mart and Mississippi Coliseum into a magical, enchanted Winter Wonderland. The move to the new Mississippi Trade Mart coupled with the ever-evolving pandemic added challenging dimensions to the planning process and required Mistletoe Marketplace to be re-imagined and re-invented.
This year, our goal was to support not only the Junior League of Jackson mission but also to support local businesses, local restaurants and caterers, in-state and out-of-state merchants, the hospitality industry, and the economy of the state of Mississippi.
Limited in-person tickets were available for all shopping events, and general shopping took place in shifts to permit social distancing and crowd control. New this year were virtual offerings for general shopping and special events. Additional safety measures were put in place as the health and safety of our shoppers, volunteers, sponsors, merchants, and staff remained our top priorities.
This year’s Corporate Sponsors contributed at an all-time high, and our Friends of Mistletoe donated additional funds. This extraordinary level
of generosity shows that our sponsors and donors recognized that the funds raised through Mistletoe Marketplace were even more critical this year as the need in our community is greater now more than ever.
The hard work and commitment of each Provisional, Active, and Sustaining member of the League are responsible for the success of Mistletoe Marketplace. We thank this year's Steering Committee for their innovation, hard work, and dedication. We hope that your days were filled with wonder and cheer as you experienced the Winter Wonderland of Mistletoe Marketplace 2020!
